Info: Marla Guernsey is a true pioneer and local leader in the Manufactured Housing Industry. She obtained her sales license in the nineteen seventies. At that time, then these homes were referred to as “trailers in trailer parks.” How the times have changed. Early in her career, Marla was selling more homes than most other sales agents in the Bay Area. This was largely due to the honest and loyal relationships that she maintains with her clients. In the mid seventies, Bank of America had been financing many of her client’s loans even though they did not have a formal program for them. However, after reviewing the amount of loans that were recently made, they decided to formalize procedures and initiate a loan department. The local branch president set up a meeting with Marla and some of his top loan officers and managers and they started marketing these new loans. The bank again turned to Marla Guernsey to help with appraisals and she single handedly convinced and aided Bank of America to start a Manufactured Housing finance department. This was a huge step for our industry. Marla’s client list is unbelievably long. She is truly an authority in this industry, but more importantly the dedication and professionalism she displays to her clients is what makes her a success.

Steve has lived in the San Francisco Bay Area his entire life.. He started working in the manufactured housing industry in the early 80’s and continued on into the real estate industry. He owned and operated a construction company that serviced the manufactured housing industry as a Cal. State Lic. Installation contractor and later completed his studies to become a Dealer/Broker. Steve spends much of his time with his daughter and family and devotes a lot of time to the community. In his spare time he enjoys playing and writing music and every now and again you may see him playing at a near by blues venue.
